Profhilo® is an injectable anti-ageing treatment made from hyaluronic acid for skin that is losing its elasticity and firmness with age.
Profhilo® diffuses within the tissue after injection and over the period of 4 weeks after each injection, it stimulates 4 different types of collagen and elastin. You will start to see improvements after 4 weeks of the first treatment; however the best results are normally 8 weeks after the first session.
It can help to increase firmness and elasticity and promote healthier and softer-looking skin. Profhilo® is most commonly used for facial areas, but can also be used to rejuvenating the neck, decollete, arms, knees and hands. Profhilo is injected just below the skin's surface over 2 sessions 4 weeks apart.
The risk of side effects after Profhilo is low but you may experience mild redness, pain, itching, discolouration or tenderness at the injection sites but they will quickly fade.
To help maintain the effects of Profhilo we recommend that you have a treatment every 9-12 months.

Frequently Asked Questions
How Should I prepare for my treatment?
Please avoid alcohol, multivitamins, vitamin E for 48 hours prior to treatment. You can take arnica tablets for 1 week prior to appointment to further minimise bruising.
How Long do results last?
Results typically last 9-12 months but that depends on how quickly your body metabolises it.
Should I follow any aftercare advice?
Avoid exercise for 24 hours. Please continue to avoid painkillers for 48 hours after treatment. Avoid hot showers and steam for 24 hours. Do not touch the area. No sun beds or saunas. Please avoid hot drinks for 24 hours. Massage the area and use a warm compress if lumps develop.
